About the Petition
UC campuses do not have the resources for victims of AI-generated sexual abuse. There is a noticeable absence of resources tailored to assist victims of AI-generated sexual abuse, from mental health services to legal aid aimed at removing such harmful content from the internet. We call on the UC Systemwide Title IX Office to protect students from AI-generated sexual abuse by:
- Specifying that AI-generated sexual abuse is covered as a form of sexual harassment and sexual exploitation in UC SVSH policy.
- Updating trainings for SVSH to include AI-generated sexual abuse.
- Implementing a reporting measure for the UC community that is accessible on UC Title IX websites.
- Investing in creating mental health services for victims & ensuring access to a professional trained in this type of abuse on-campus.
- Providing legal resources to victims.
